Notes on teaching Chinese as LE: the case of the Spanish-speaking world

Abstract

China's economic expansion has given a boost to the teaching of its language in the rest of the world. Through a few notes, we intend to outline a brief overview of the way in which the growing demand for language learning has required a response from the Chinese educational authorities that hints at some important pedagogical problems.
