This number is characterized, in the case of external authors, by the participation of the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIAP) with the study on medicinal plants of the Ecuadorian Amazon present in the production of cocoa and coffee. The contributions to the solution of real problems with the application of technology are significant, which are made from the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL) when analyzing transient hydraulic phenomena and the damage they can cause to pressure piping systems. and present a virtual tool that allows analyzing these phenomena and anticipating the effects. The Universidad de los Andes de Venezuela (ULA) together with the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo (Ecuador), investigates the treatment system technologies for aqueous pollutants from the dry process cement industry in Ecuador and provides technological alternatives for the treatment and compliance with environmental laws. The Universidad de la Serena Chile analyzes abstract concepts, notations and conventions in the teaching of university physical sciences. It is worth noting another external collaboration linked to the Camilo José Cela University and the Complutense University of Madrid with the article that poses new challenges for teachers and whose objective is to formulate innovative methodological proposals from the perspective of collaborative work, in order to address cultural diversity in the classrooms. In this same context, the University of Valencia, Spain, in collaboration with the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador Sede Ibarra, carry out research to determine the technological capacity of students in the different areas of knowledge taught at the University of Valencia.
As internal authors, three articles by professors from the PUCE Sede Ibarra and one from the PUCE Sede Esmeraldas are presented. One of them aims to evaluate the effects of the application of microbial extract from native soils on soils impacted by forest fires in the Loma de Guayabillas (Ibarra).
