We highlight in this issue of Axiom, the participation of the Minuto de Dios University (Colombia) through a researcher and a consultant to the Norwegian Refugee Council, with the article “Five years of implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between Colombia and the United States : Analysis of the development on the rice producing sector ”. Which analyzes the political-legislative and economic-social implications that the aforementioned treaty has had on the rice-producing sector.

From the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja - UTPL (Ecuador) two research professors participate with the article “In vitro hypoglycemic and antioxidant activities of some medicinal plants used in treatment of diabetes in southern Ecuador” presented in the English language and in which they analyze plants used in the traditional medicine of Ecuador that could be used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus.
